Customizations
• Home do I change the logo?
The logo is a 500x50 image that you can modify and upload. The same logo will be used on the default product management site as well as the secure site. Change the logo as needed and save it to a file. Login to Administration console and choose 'Settings' > 'Change Logo' option from the menu. You will then see the option to upload the image. Note: Make sure the image is 500x50 or it may not look the way you intended as the browser resizes it the above dimension. Will I be able to change fonts, colors etc? You aure can change fonts, colors etc using CSS stylesheet. Download the current stylesheet for reference, modify and upload it. CSS Stylesheet can be uploaded from 'Settings' > 'Change CSS' menu option. The secure site will also use this stylesheet to give you consistent look and feel. Here are few versions of CSS files that you may you as a start. Each CSS has different characteristics like content spans the full page, different fonts, color schemes etc. http://secure.unifiedregistrar.com/css/forum.css Note: CSS changes doesn't affect Menu colors. You need to use the 'Settings' > 'Customize Menu Colors' option to change menu colors. How to prevent navigation from displaying? You can hide the navigation items from showing on the secure site and product site if managed by us. Goto your pefile page and check the 'Don't display navigation' checkbox. This will hide the top navigation. This feature may come in handy if you want to frame the content of the site into your own site. Is it possible to add/ remove menu items? It is absolutely possible to tailor the menu items shown on your website. An advanced menu editor is available on the administration website (Goto 'Settings' > 'Customize Menu Shown on Website'). This will enable you to hide existing items and also add your own items. You are also provided with options to change the color of the menus. Goto 'Setting' > 'Customize Menu Colors' page. How to get FTP access to upload your own website for product pages? Goto 'Settings' > 'Custom Website Settings' and there you will have option to switch from managed product pages to your own custom website. If you turn on custom website, you will be provided access to the hosting space through FTP. Goto https://admin.unifiedregistrar.com/CustomSettings.aspx and turn on 'Custom Website' option. Once it has been successfully enabled, login to our ftp server ftpserver.unifiedregistrar.com using your administrative username and password. You will see pages with .asp extension that you can change HTML. Please note that scripting is not enabled on the custom server and you can only use HTML at this time. If you need full scripting option, you can host the product pages on your server (www.yourdomain.com) and setup the domain as your main domain using 'Change Domain' option at https://admin.unifiedregistrar.com/ChangeDomain.aspx. Then the site will automatically redirect to your website when product pages are accessed. Can I use a different domain other than 'username.unifiedregistrar.com'? Yes, you can use some other domain name other than the default domain (username.unifiedregistrar.com). Go to the 'Change Domain' option page at https://admin.unifiedregistrar.com/ChangeDomain.aspx and you will textboxes to enter your own domain name. Lets say you setup www.yourdomain.com, then you have to setup a CNAME record for www.yourdomain.com to point to username.unifiedregistrar.com. How to change the title displayed on the website? You can easily change the display title by gointo to 'Settings' > 'Manage Profile' option in the control panel and clicking the 'Edit' link in the table. You will then see options to change 'Reseller Name' and 'Description' which will be used to create the page title.
